The title of this blog pretty much sums up how I feel about Longleat.

Coming from Cornwall, it’s quite the treck to Longleat which is situated in Warminster.

However, since last week when me and Joey planned to go we were both like kids on the run up to Christmas and Longleat did not disappoint us.

If you want to get up close and personal with tigers, lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, wolfs, feed deers from the comfort of your car, get your car destroyed by monkeys (you can skip that bit if you like) feed birds, and get pooped on (you could skip that bit too, although they do say it’s good luck right?) have butterflies and bats fly right past your face, walk through meerkats and the cutest lemurs then Longleat is the place for you!

There’s also a chance to explore the grounds and the house, as well as currently there is also an exhibition of Photographers Simon Kings work ‘On The Wild’ which is incredible!! I could spend hours just looking at his photographs.

Not quite on the level of Simon King but, here are some pictures I captured of our day…

So, if you’re up for a drive or live near to Warminster you need to head over to Longleat, you will not be disappointed!! I would go again in a heartbeat.
Have any of you guys been to Longleat and if so what was your favourite part? Mine is a tough choice, but I’d probably say the monkeys, I definitely see where the phrase ‘You cheeky little monkey” originates from!
